B1452 - Beautiful Antique French Toleware Watch / Jewelley Stand, Mirror & Glass Bowl
This is a divine antique French pocket watch stand dating from the 1800's. It would have originally stood on a night stand and the watch hung from the hook at the top and rings and jewllery placed in the glass bowl beneath.
The frame of the stand is made of wirework decorated with leaves and strawberries. At the top is a tiny hook to hold the watch and below this is a round mirror. The mirror is bevelled and would have reflected any decoration that may have been on the back of the watch.
The glass bowl sits on the base of the stand. It has a frilly edge and is in a sublime turquoise and amber colour combination.
The stand and it's glass bowl have survived the years in good condition. The metal has patinated to perfection.
The stand measures 21.25 cm (8.3 inches) high x 10 cm (4 inches) wide x 11 cm (4.3 inches) deep.
A lovely trinket stand to use and enjoy and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
