B1464 - SOLD
This is an amazing antique French bridal couronne dating from the early to mid 1900's. It is in lovely condition and could now be incorporated into a modern day bridal veil ensemble to give 'the something old' finishing touch.
It has a wire frame onto which are wired silk flowers and faux pearls. Between these are wired fabulous tall silk ears of barley alternated with wire leaves covered in tulle - just breathtaking!
The colours are a combination of shades of antique cream and white.
The wire frame of the tiara is bound with cream silk. There is an elasticated cord to the back to secure the tiara on the head.
As it sits on the cushion the tiara measures :- approx 26 cm (10.25 inches) wide x 22 cm (8.6 inches) deep. It will be approx. 9 cm (3.5 inches) high when sitting on the head. We have photographed it on an antique mannequin head.
This beautiful couronne is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
