B1572 - SOLDThis is a delectable large panel of antique French pink rosebud printed cotton textile dating from about 1900. It is one of the prettiest I have seen! It could be used as a curtain or be incorporated into any number of pretty interiors projects. The panel is hemmed to the top and bottom and the selvedges form the sides. There is a seam down the middle. The print is to die for! There is a vertical design of rosebud garlands alternating with bands of circles and ovals each containing a beautiful rose & rosebud vignette. The roses in the circle were once in a basket but the baskets have now faded with the passage of time. The ovals have a divine bow & ribbontail crest. The roses and ribbons are in sublime shades of pink and the leaves are a lovely moss green. The colours look superb against the pale grey and antique white of the background. We have left the fabric as we found it. There are one or two very pale marks (please see photos) but the textile is good and strong and could be laundered if required. The panel measures :- 206 cm (6 ft 9 inches) long x 160 cm (5 ft 3 inches) wide. An exceptionally pretty piece of antique French textile to incorporate into an interiors project. It is from a carefully selected collection of antique & vintage French textiles, curtains & curtain accessories, and decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe'! N.B. Any accessories we have used to display the panel are not included. Please hover cursor over picture for magnified detail and click on picture for enlarged photo. SOLD
