This is a gorgeous vintage French religious wall hanging. It has a printed image of a painting of the Virgin Mary in the style of Botticelli.

The image is printed on textile in wonderful colour and detail. It is incredibly atmospheric. Mary has a sweet face and is very young. Her mantle and robe are in stunning shades of red and blue.

Bordering this beautiful image is a wide passementerie and there are 5 tabs at the top to take a pole.

The wall hanging has a stiffened inter-lining and there is a padded lining to the back.

It is in good vintage condition, There are a few light marks to the lining and a little 'bagging' to the front where the stiffener has been rolled but nothing to detract.

It measures :- 80 cm (2 ft 7.5 inches) high including the tabs x 58.5 cm (1 ft 11 inches) wide. The tabs are 7 cm long.
