B1781 - SOLD

This is a truly immaculate set of 12 antique French Cornely lace napkins dating from the 19th Century. We also have a matching tablecloth, B1780, listed in our other items.

The textile is a very fine cotton muslin.  All of the edges of the napkins are scalloped and there is a sweet flower vignette embroidered in fine chain stitch to one of the corners.

The textile is a lovely snowy white. It is in excellent antique condition and very surprisingly, considering the delicacy of the textile and it's age, I can find no holes or darns. In fact the napkins look like they have never been used.

Each napkin measures :- 49 cm (19.25 inches) x 48 cm (18.8 inches).
