This is a gorgeous pair of antique French château curtains dating from the 1930's. They come with their original bobble passementerie trimmed tie backs. They are over 9 feet long and are in fabulous condition.

The fabric is a heavy crêpe that drapes superbly. The base colour is a rich dark red with a beautiful floral and leaf pattern in shades of sage green and dusty pinks.

The middle edge of each curtain is trimmed with fringed passementerie in co-ordinating shades of sage green with a hint of rusty brown.

The curtains are beautifully lined with a good quality heavy lining fabric. The header tape on each curtain is of the modern variety and has been added some time during the life of the curtains.

The curtains come with a divine pair of hold backs. These are padded and are trimmed with a sublime bobble passementerie in ecru, black and red.

The whole ensemble is absolutely delightful and incorporates all the charming aspects of antique French textiles.

The curtains and tie backs are in astonishingly good condition. One of the bobbles is missing on a tie back but this will not show if put to the back.

Each curtain measures :- 274 cm (9 feet) long x 158 cm (5 feet 2 inches) wide.

They are currently ruched to be 97 cm (3 feet 2 inches) along the top.
