This is a superb vintage French metal advertising sign dating around 1940.
 

It is advertising a toilet soap - les savons Donge - for washing and for the bath.

It features a very handsome 1940's couple amongst a myriad of flowers which presumably represent 'tous les parfums....'.

The colours and detail are stunning. The paint and metal has acquired a patination over the years which adds character to this lovely old sign.

It would make an extremely decorative and atmospheric piece to hang on a wall, perhaps in a bathroom.

The sign has a loop for hanging and  two flaps on the back which when bent out allow it to sit on a surface.
 

It measures :- W 30 cm (11.75 inches) x H 38 cm (15 inches).
