This is a divine antique French letter rack dating from the late 1800's / early 1900's.

It is made from papier-mâché and is made to hang on a wall.

The base colour of the papier-mâché is a gorgeous rich deep burgundy with a crackle finish. The front and back of the letter rack is beautifully hand painted with a profusion of gorgeous orchids in subtle shades of pink and cream with hints of green foliage. A stunning butterfly painted in fantastic detail completes the scene.

The letter rack is in excellent condition and is sturdy throughout.

It measures :- H 23 cm (9 inches) x W 23 cm (9 inches) x D 6 cm (2.3 inches)

This is a delightful letter rack to add an authentic finishing touch to a vintage interior and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
