This is a very pretty pair of antique lady's shoe trees dating from around 1930.

The toes and heels of the trees are made of wood and they are joined by a metal strap which bends enabling the trees to fit a variety of shoe sizes.

The trees are painted gold and the toes are over painted with delightful anemones in a myriad of pastel shades. The gold paint and the anemones have mellowed over the years to a perfect timeworn finish.

As it sits, each tree measures 28 cm (11 inches) long x 4 cm (1.75 inches) wide at the toe.

A very pretty pair of shoe trees to use in a vintage boudoir or perhaps as a display aid in a vintage clothes shop.
