B1866 - SOLD

This is a charming antique French plaster bust dating from the early 1900's. It is a very atmospheric piece and would be the perfect finishing touch in a vintage home.

The subject is a very pretty young country maiden. She has beautiful eyes and rosy cheeks and lips. She has wavy hair which frames her face and falls down her back in ringlets. She wears a dark green bonnet which ties under her chin with a bow. It has a frill to the front and a bow to either side. She wears a simple dark green gown which gently slips off her shoulders.

The bust is in good antique condition with just a little patina and distressing from the passage of time.

She measures :-  23 cm (9.1 inches) high x 24 cm (9.4 inches) wide x 10 cm (3.9 inches) deep.

This is a charming bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
