B1922 - Gorgeous Antique French Plaster Bust, Pretty Country Maiden In Bonnet C1900

This is a gorgeous antique French plaster bust dating from the early 1900's. It is a very atmospheric piece and would be the perfect finishing touch in a vintage home.

The subject is a very pretty young country maiden. She has beautiful eyes and rosy cheeks and lips. She wears a simple dark green gown with a shawl tied over her shoulders. She wears a bonnet upon her head, her hair is neatly secured at the nape of her neck.

She is engraved on the back with the maker's mark and FRANCE. There is a metal plaque to the front engraved with 'RENAISSANCE'.

The bust is in good antique condition with just a little patina and distressing from the passage of time.

She measures :-  29.5 cm (11.6 inches) high x 30.5 cm (12 inches) wide x 12 cm (4.75 inches) deep.

This is a gorgeous bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
