B1975 - Gorgeous Antique French Red Silk Velvet Jewel / Boudoir Box, Amazing Condition

This is gorgeous antique French jewel  / boudoir box dating from the 19th Century It would be perfect to take a few precious trinkets in a château chic boudoir.

The box is covered in it's original red silk velvet.

It sits on 4 cute metal feet. Each of the corners of the base have a gilded metal  appliqué. In the centre of the lid is a gided decorative handle. There is a cute repoussé clasp.

The lid lifts up to reveal an interior lined with red silk. There is a mirror set in the lid and a red silk flap to take accessories.

The box is in amazing antique condition, in fact it looks like it has hardly been used. The velvet and silk have no wear, the gilding is still bright and beautiful.

The box measures :- 19.75 cm (7.75 inches) wide x 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) deep  x 10 cm  (3.9 inches) high.
