This is a gorgeous antique French urn in the Art Nouveau style and dating around 1900. It is very three dimensional and architectural and would make a stunning feature piece.

It is made in spelter and is weighty. To the back and front is a beautiful maiden's face around which her long hair swirls. To either side of the vase is a large inwardly facing poppy which grows upwards from the base around which is a ring of poppy seed heads. There are 4 panels around the main body of the vase each showing a delicate poppy with both buds and seed heads.

The vase is in a sublime shade of green. The maiden's faces are bronze in colour which looks fabulous against the green background.

The urn is sturdy and is in good antique condition with just a little patination to the finish.

It measures :- 25.5 cm (10 inches) high x 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide x 12.5 cm ( 5 inches) deep. We have photographed it with a bottle of wine (not included) to give an idea of size.
