B1708 - SOLD

This is a charming antique French spelter trinket stand / vide poche dating from the early 1900's. It would be perfect to sit on a night stand to take a few rings and coins.

It is cast in amazing detail. It has a beautiful water lily base upon which is a sweet cherub sitting on a swan gently stroking it's neck and head.

Crowning this charming scene is a fabulous hinged scallop shell with a conch shell upon it's lid. The lid of the scallop opens to reveal the dish to take the trinkets - just lovely.

The stand is a weighty little piece and is sturdy. The gilding has mellowed and patinated over the years to  a lovely antique hue.

The stand measures :- 12.5 cm (5 inches) high x 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide x 7 cm (2.75 inches) deep.

This is a lovely trinket stand to use and enjoy and another divine antique French brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
