This is a gorgeous antique French wax bust in the style of Luigi Pampaloni and dating from the 19th Century. It sits on wooden plinth and is a very decorative piece to add an authentic château chic finishing touch.

The subject is an absolutely charming pretty young mademoiselle. She has beautiful wavy hair. It is plaited to the sides and held in a top knot with a sweet ribbon bow.

She holds her head to the side and smiles shyly. She has sweet, child like features and an adorable air of innocence.

The wax is finely moulded and has a fabulous sepia hue. The bust has survived the years in good condition with just a little distressing to the varnish on the wooden base.

The bust on it's plinth measures :- 25 cm (9.75 inches) high x 24 cm (9.5 inches) wide x 13.25 cm (5.25 inches) deep.
