This is a beautiful antique French cloisonné letter rack dating from the Napoleon III era C1860. It is of a compact size and would be perfect to sit on a secretaire or bureau.

It has 4 cute scrolled feet and a scrolled crest. There are 2 slots for letters.

The cloisonné is enamel on brass in lovely shades of turquoise, blue, burgundy, ochre and white.

The letter rack is sturdy. The brass has mellowed over the years but would polish if required.

It measures :- 13 cm (5.1 inches) high x 12 cm (4.75 inches) wide x 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) deep.

A gorgeous letter rack to use and treasure and another divine antique French find from la Belle Étoffe!
