B1784 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous antique French Art Nouveau plaster bust dating around 1900. It would look superb, perhaps on a mantelpiece or on a sidetable.

The subject is a beautiful girl. She has lovely eyes,  full pink lips and a gentle blush upon her cheeks. Her hair is covered in a scarf and escapes in wavy tendrils down her neck.

She sits on an impressive integral base from which a bouquet of wild flowers extends upwards onto our maiden's chest. The base is  inscribed with her title ' Fleur Des Champs'.

The bust is in a gorgeous atmospheric shade of ochre. She is in good antique condition with just a little  distressing to the paint (please see photos)..

She measures :- 47 cm (18.5 inches) high x 28 cm (11 inches) wide x 16 cm (6.25 inches) deep.

This is a gorgeous bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
