B1967 - SOLD

This is a sublime antique French religious bisque statue of  The Madonna & Child. It is very decorative and would make a stunning addition to a religious or vintage display.

The statue is made entirely in white bisque porcelain. The Holy Virgin holds the Infant Jesus in her arms. They both wear stunning crowns. Mary's mantle and robe fall in beautiful folds around her, Jesus stands upon a globe.

At the base of the statue two winged cherubs gaze up at the Holy pair.

The statue is in good antique condition. There are no chips or cracks, just one or two very minor light marks (please see photos).

The statue measures :-  22.5 cm (8.8 inches) high. The base is 8.75 cm (3.4 inches) in diameter.

This sublime statue is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French religious & decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
