This is a sublime antique French easel picture frame dating from the late 1800's, early 1900's. It holds a charming photo of a mother with her daughter who appears to be in fancy dress. This could be changed if required.

The frame would make the perfect château chic finishing touch, perhaps grouped with others on a side table.

The frame has a gorgeous ormolu bow and ribbon tail crest. It stands on two ball feet. On the back is the easel spring mechanism which works smoothly. The back stand is good and strong and there is a loop for hanging it on a wall.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to timeworn perfection.

The glass display panel has a bevelled edge. It is original to the frame and is in good condition with just one minor nibble to the bottom right hand corner.

The frame measures 17.5 cm (7 inches) high x 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide.
