B1465 - SOLD

This is a divine vintage French bridal couronne dating from the mid 1900's. It has never been used and still has it's original PARIS paper label.  It could now be incorporated into a modern day bridal veil ensemble to give 'the something old' finishing touch.

It's design is beautifully delicate.  It has a wire frame with wire loops threaded with a plethora of wax buds in a divine shade of antique white. Within the loops are gorgeous pearlised flowers in a light cream hue.

The wire frame of the tiara is bound with cream silk. The two sides interlock at the back to form the circular crown shape.

The embellishment at the front of the crown measures :- 16 cm (6.25 inches) wide with an overall height of approx. 9 cm (3.5 inches).
The wire frame measures :- 11 cm wide x 10 cm deep. This could be made larger by adjusting the interlocking wire ends. We have photographed the crown on an antique mannequin head.

This beautiful couronne is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
