B1508 - SOLD

These two superb antique French crucifixes each have a winged cherubic angel. They are made from celluloid and date from about 1900.

They would probably have been given as a gift to a newborn baby and would have been placed in the crib or bassinet to protect it.

The angels have beautiful curly hair. Their wings are full and feathery and frame their exquisite faces.

At the top of each crucifix is a ring for hanging. They could be threaded with ribbon and hung on a wall as part of a vintage display.

The crucifixes are in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.

The largest measures:-  20 cm (7.75 inches) high including the ring x 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) wide x 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) deep.
The smallest measures:- 11 cm (4.25 inches) high including the ring x 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) wide x 2.5 cm (1 inch) deep.

Two gorgeous antique crucifixes to keep and treasure, perhaps as part of an angel or cherub collection and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
