This is a heavenly little antique French shelf unit dating from about 1900.  It will hang on a wall or sit on a piece of furniture. It is gloriously decorative in itself and would be perfect for displaying a few chosen special pieces.

It is made in lightweight wood. It has two central shelves and a smaller shelf to either side. Above each of the side shelves is a charming printed scene of a Roman lady with a child. The scenes are in sepia tones with subtle shades of aubergine, teal and pink.

The paint on the wood has mellowed to a subtle shade of taupe with dark gold highlights.

The shelf unit is sturdy with just a little distressing to the paint.

It measures :- 48 cm (18.75 inches) high x 56 cm (22 inches) wide x 10.5 cm (4.1 inches) deep.
