This is a gorgeous long vintage French cotton curtain dating from about 1930. It has the most amazing print and would certainly add an unusual and authentic finishing touch to a vintage home.

The cotton has a wonderful luxuriant smooth texture. The background colour is a shade of soft lemon. The design has vertical bands of amazing bouquets of flowers in vibrant shades alternated with sepia rural scenes - just astonishing, very fabulous and very unusual! The vignettes are interlinked with bows and ribbons in orange and blue. Little red and blue butterflies just add to the detail of this incredible print.

The curtain has a ruching tape to the top and is hemmed at the bottom. The sides are formed by the selvedge of the fabric. It is not lined.

The curtain is in good antique condition and is clean and fresh. There is just one faint mark to the left hand edge (please see photos). The textile is very crisp and hangs beautifully.

It measures :- 233 cm (7 ft 7.75 inches) long x  130 cm (4 ft 3 inches) wide.
