This is a divine finely woven vintage French tapestry wall hanging dating mid 1900's. It would add a sublime château chic finishing touch to a room.

It depicts an idyllic waterside scene with a charming family in the foreground. They are surrounded by beautiful trees which reflect on the water's surface.

The two children are filling a basket with flowers and foliage. The mother stretches up to pull a climber from a dead tree.

At the centre of the bottom is woven 'D'apres Corot'.

The colours are subtle greens and brown with touches of red, blue and lilac in the costumes.

The tapestry is lined and has metal fittings on the back for hanging purposes.

The tapestry is of superb quality. It is finely woven in cotton in wonderful detail. It is in good vintage condition.

The tapestry measures :- 185 cm (6 ft 0.8 inches) wide x 140 cm (4 ft 7.2 inches) high.
