B2000 - Gorgeous Vintage French Woven Tapestry Wall Hanging, 'Le Moulin De Bouchet'

This is a gorgeous vintage French tapestry wall hanging dating mid 1900's. It would add a sublime château chic finishing touch to a room.

It is entitled 'Le Moulin De Bouchet' and depicts an idyllic waterside scene with a mountain vista in the background. There is an island to the centre with a working watermill to the right.

In the foreground is a profusion of vegetation including climbing pink roses and iris at the waterside. Stunning trees and an architectural fountain, one with adorable cherubs, form a focal point to each side.

The colours of the tapestry are lovely greens and ochres with a darker terracotta to the foreground. 

Around all this splendour is a sewn floral border.

The tapestry is woven in cotton and is of good quality. It has a heavy cotton lining. 

It is in very good vintage condition. 

The tapestry measures :- 191 cm (6 ft 3.25 inches) wide x 80 cm (2 ft 7.5 inches) high.

A fantastic vintage tapestry to add an authentic château chic statement to a room and another divine antique French textile find from La Belle Étoffe.
