This is a stunning pair of antique French finials dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a touch of grandeur to a curtain pole and would be superb to embellish furniture, for example a bed head.

They are cast in brass and have amazing intricate decoration. They are weighty and of good quality with excellent detail to the casting of the metal. Over the years the gilding on the brass has mellowed, and patinated with a touch of verdigis, whilst still retaining golden areas which catch the light beautifully.

Each fiinial has a screw for attaching to a pole or piece of furniture.

The finials measure:- 9 cm (3.5 inches) high  x 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide. The base plate is 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter.

A superb pair of  finials to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
