B1730 - Divine Panel Antique French Coral Coloured Silk Hand Painted With Chrysanthemums

This is a divine panel of antique French coral coloured silk dating around 1920. It is beautifully hand painted with chrysanthemums in shades of pink, red and orange which look stunning against the coral background.

There is a large vignette to the bottom right hand corner where there is the signature ' Teisseire' and a single flower to the top right hand and bottom left hand corners.

The 2 sides are formed by the selvedge of the silk and the top and bottom are cut edges.

The silk is in good sound condition. There is a scattering of age spots across the panel (please see photos) which do not really detract but the vignettes could perhaps be cut out for projects.

The panel measures :- 95 cm (37.5 inches) wide x 98 cm (38.25) high.
