This is a beautiful pair of antique French gilded metal curtain pole finials dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They have a gorgeous rose garland and laurel leaf design. They are weighty and of good quality with excellent detail to the casting of the metal. Over the years the gilding has mellowed and patinated to a lovely old gold hue.

They each have their original screw in the bottom for attaching to a pole.

The metal to the bases has dented a little over the years but this does not detract from the beauty of these lovely old finials.

Each finial measures:- 10.5 cm (4.1 inches) high (not including the screw)  x 6.75 cm (2.6 inches) wide. The base plate is approx 4 cm (1.5 inches) in diameter.
