B1467 - SOLDThis is a gorgeous antique French bridal couronne dating from the early 1900's. It is in lovely condition and could now be incorporated into a modern day bridal veil ensemble to give 'the something old' finishing touch. It is made of an amazing profusion of tiny wax buds and flowers all tightly wired together. This has then been sewn onto a wired bandeau. The wire securing the flowers together is bound with cream silk. There is an elasticated cord to the back to secure the tiara on the head. In our opinion the wired flowers could be seperated from the bandeau to allow for further options when incorporating into a veil arrangement. The tiara has survived the years in good antique condition. The wax buds have a lovely rich antique cream hue. As it sits on the cushion the tiara measures :- 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide x 17 cm (6.75 inches) deep x 6 cm (2.3 inches) high. We have photographed it on an antique mannequin head. This beautiful couronne is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'. As you can see we had some help with the photography!
