This is a divine vintage Italian triptyque / travel altar. It is very decorative and architectural and is the perfect size to sit on a bedside table or in a reflective niche.

It is made in gilded wood. The doors of the triptyque open on cute little brass hinges to reveal an exquisite interior. The central panel features an image after Botticelli's 'Madonna of the Book' and to either side, on the interior of each door, is an angel, one with a drum and one with a harp - just lovely.

The colours and finish are very atmospheric.

The tryptique sits on a wooden base but also has a metal loop on the back for hanging on a wall.

When closed the tryptique measures :- 15.75 cm (6.2 inches) wide x 25 cm (9.8 inches) high (not including the loop). When open the tryptique measures :- 25.5 cm (10 inches) wide.

This is a fabulous religious piece to display and use and another divine antique  brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
