B909 - Divine Pair Antique French Ormolu Acanthus Leaf Curtain Tie / Hold Backs

This is a divine pair of antique French ormolu curtain tie / hold backs to add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They are of lovely quality with excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal.

The back plate and the fascia of the hook has a beautiful swirling acanthus leaf design.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to a subtle antique patina with fabulous areas of verdigris.

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 17 cm (6.75 inches) x W 4 cm (1.5 inches) x D 14 cm (5.5 inches).
