This superb vintage French brass door knocker would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a front door.

It is in the shape of a lady's hand and is beautifully detailed. It has a ring on the index finger and there is a frilled cuff and bracelet at the wrist. The fingers clasp a ball which forms the actual knocker.

The back bracket from which the hand is hinged is also substantial and decorative.

The knocker has it's original flower shaped plate against which it would hammer. Both the knocker itself and the plate have a threaded bolt for fixing to the door.

The brass is bright and beautiful and all is in good order.

The knocker measures :-

W 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) X H 12.5 cm (5 inches) X D 5 cm (2 inches)

The knocker plate measures 5 cm (2 inches) diameter.
