This is a fabulous pair of antique French church pricket candlesticks dating from the 19th Century. They would have stood on the church altar but would now make a very stylish addition to a château chic interior.

The candlesticks are very substantial and sturdy, each one weighing nearly 2kg.

They are very decorative. Each one has a pierced circular base and stands on 3 sturdy feet. There are decorative collars on the column and the bobeche are of generous size to take a large candle.

The silver gilding has mellowed over the years to a lovely timeworn pewter hue.

Each candlestick measures :- H 38.5 cm (15.25 inches) to the top of the spike x 15 cm (6 inches) across the feet.

Whether placed on a simple country buffet or a grand enfilade these gorgeous candlesticks will look stunning.
