B1017 - SOLD

This is a superb antique French gesso on wood picture frame. It is very decorative and would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a painting.

The frame is rectangular in shape and has a decorative raised border. The corners have raised acanthus leaf and scrollwork with flower and leaf detail below.

The aperture and outer frame have a decorative border with small leaves.

The frame has a lovely gilded finish in a sublime old gold hue. It is substantial and weighty.

The frame measures :- 39.5 cm (15.5 inches) wide x 34.5 cm (13.5 inches) high x 7.5 cm (3 inches)deep.
The aperture measures :- 24 cm (9.5 inches) wide x 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) high.
