This is a fabulous antique French church candelabrum dating from the 19th Century. It would have stood on the church altar but would now make a very stylish addition to a château chic interior.

It takes 5 candles and sits on a sturdy triangular base with acanthus leaf decoration. The 5 bobeche sit on a curved brass bar from which a profusion of  brass and repoussé flowers, vine leaves and grapes burgeon. Some of the flowers have delicate central anthers and others have stunning faceted paste centres in rich jewel colours. The effect is breathtaking!

We have left the candelabrum as we found it. The brass has gently mellowed over the years but would polish to a shiny finish if required.

Whether placed on a simple country buffet or a grand enfilade this gorgeous candelabrum will look stunning.

It measures :- 70 cm (27.5 inches) wide x 33 cm (13 inches) high (approx). The base is 20 cm (8 inches) along each side.
