This is an amazing antique French decorative stand dating from the 19th C. It would have come from a church and would probably have been used as a stand for a religious figure.

The front of the stand has a stunning central cross with a beautiful paste cabachon stone in a rich jewel red. To either side of the cross is scrolled wirework with gorgeous interlinking repoussé leaves and flowers. The two sides of the stand are also decorated with further intricate wire and repoussé work. The gilding on the metal has patinated over the years to perfection and the resultant effect is stunning.
The stand measures:-
This amazing church stand is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French religious & decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
N.B. We have photographed the stand with a number of display items which are not included.
