This is a divine vintage French ciel de lit / bed couronne or bed canopy. It is to hang above a bed to create a decorative centre piece from which to hang drapes.

It has a decorative outer metal frame with a central bow and flower crest. To either side are stunning three dimensional leaf garlands. It is painted in a sublime shade of grey.

There is an inner metal frame and it is to this that the drapes can be attached.

On the back bracket of the couronne are two holes for attaching it to a wall.

It measures :- W 71.5 cm (28.25 inches) x D 47 cm (18.5 inches) x H 10 cm (4 inches).
