This is the most heavenly antique French candle wall sconce dating from the 19th Century. It is wonderful to find such a gorgeous one that hasn't been converted to electricity! It would certainly add an authentic château chic finishing touch to a boudoir or salon.

It has two arms and is absolutely dripping with crystals. It has the most gorgeous back in the shape of a lyre. The metal has mellowed over the years to a dark pewter and even has lovely areas of verdigris. The bobeche are just the right size to take a taper candle.

The crystals are of different shapes. At the top there are two large flat facetted crystals and beneath are a mixture of facetted and smooth teardrop crystals and all are topped off with a lovely rosette.

The sconce measures :- H 32 cm (12.5 inches) from the very top to the bottom of the lowest crystal x 23 cm (9 inches) wide.

We have photographed it with two 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) taper candles (not included).
