This is a superb set of 6 antique French gilded metal curtain tie / hold backs dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They are substantial pieces of good quality with excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal. The fascia and back plate of the hook have a swirling acanthus leaf design.

The gilding on the metal has mellowed over the years to a subtle old gold hue.

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They are all in good order. As you can see from our photos the angle of each of the hooks differs slightly, but this will not be discernible when they are placed in situ.

They measure approx. :- H 15 cm (6 inches) x W 6 cm (2.3 inches) x D 15 cm (6 inches) .
