This is a beautiful set of 4 antique French gilded metal curtain tie / hold backs dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They are intricate pieces of good quality with excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal. The fascia and backplate of the hook have a gorgeous acanthus leaf design.

The gilding on the metal has patinated to perfection over the years to achieve the sought after look of 'faded grandeur'

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure approx. :- H 14 cm (5.5 inches) x W 5.5 cm (2.25 inches) x D 15 cm (6 inches) .
