B1261 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous vintage French king size cotton toile bed cover. It was made to match a pair of curtains (B1260) which we have listed in our other items. It would make a fabulous boudoir ensemble with the curtains or could be used as a large curtain itself.

The toile design is printed in a lovely shade of burgundy on a light cream background. It has an 18th Century seafaring theme with many vignettes of fishing boats and maritime scenes.

The bed cover has a shaped bottom and is lined. It is in good vintage condition.There is just one area to the bottom right hand corner of the front which has yellowed slightly over the years (please see photos) and a few marks on the lining.

The bed cover measures :- 270 cm (8 ft 9.25 inches) long x 223 cm (7 ft 3.75 inches) wide.

A stunning bed cover to complete an ensemble with a matching pair of curtains or to use as a curtain itself. Another superb vintage French brocante find from 'La Belle Étoffe'.
