B1264 - Superb Antique French Heavy Brass Double Picture / Photo Frame, Shell CrestsThis superb antique French brass double picture frame is a substantial and weighty piece. It would make the perfect gift, perhaps as a wedding or anniversary present.
The frame is very decorative. It has two oval apertures for the photographs. These are set at a slight angle to each other and each has an impressive shell crest. The sides of the frame are formed by a descending garland of bell shaped flowers. The frame sits on two very sturdy curled feet.
On the back of the frame is a very sturdy stand. There are 4 swivelling catches to secure the photos and glass in place.
The frame measures 22.5 cm (9 inches) wide x 19 cm (7.5 inches) high and is 12 cm (4.75 inches) deep when on it's stand.
Each oval photo display area is 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) high x 7.75 cm (3 inches) wide.
