This is a gorgeous vintage French woven linen wall hanging. The scene is a reproduction of an ancient tapestry and is printed on to the linen by a silkscreen process. The colours have fabulously faded over the passage of time for that 'always been there' look. The wall hanging would certainly add an authentic château chic finishing touch to a country house home.

The scene is a beautiful rural vista with a magnificent château in the background. In front of it is a fantastic long architectural tree lined pool. The foreground is dominated by a profusion of lush trees and flowers and 2 splendid long legged birds take centre stage. A leaf and flower garland border adds the final finishing touch to this breathtaking scene. The colours are deliciously faded soft pinks, teals and ochres.

The wall hanging is of wonderful quality. The textile is a heavy textured woven linen which hangs beautifully. It is lined and there are rings sewn on the back for hanging purposes.

It measures :- 158 cm (5 ft 2 inches) wide x 148 cm (4 ft 10.25 inches) high.
