B1289 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous antique French plinth / display stand dating from the 19th Century. It would be superb to display a special piece. We have used it to display a number of our items for photography purposes.

The stand is made of wood and sits on 4 sturdy feet. It is beautifully water gilded over plaster. It has a criss cross pattern to the top and an Empire Style moulded laurel leaf and faux ribbon tie design to the edge.

The water gilding gives off a wonderful golden glow and shows delicious hints of the red bole beneath. There is a little distressing to the gilding and a small chip in the plaster to one corner (please see photos) but this does not detract from this gorgeous stand in any way.

It measures :- 33 cm (13 inches) wide x 19.5 cm (7.75 inches) deep x 5.5 cm (2.25 inches) high.

This is a fabulous gilded stand to enhance a special piece and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
