This is a divine set of 5 tiny antique French silk lampshades dating from about 1920 to 1950.  They are of a particularly pretty shape and would be perfect to add a château chic finishing touch to a 5 armed chandelier.

The silk has mellowed over the years to a dark antique cream and is finely pleated. The top, bottom and 'waist' of the shades are trimmed with wire passementerie now faded with the passage of time.

Inside the shades is a wire fitting for slipping on to a candle bulb.

The shades are in good antique condition. The silk is intact with just a little discolouration to the interior of two of the shades.

Each shade measures :-

12.5 cm (5 inches) high

12 cm (4.75 inches) across the bottom

6 cm (2.5 inches) across the top
