B1323 - SOLD

This is a beautiful antique French mount dating from the 19th Century. It is very architectural and would look superb on a wall or would be perfect as a central point from which to hang drapes, perhaps over a bed as a ciel de lit.

It is beautifully carved in mahogany. It has a divine flower garland which loops upward to form a gorgeous rose crest. A fabulous bow with ribbon tails completes this sublime ensemble.

It is a very 3 dimensional piece with lots of detail in the carving. It is substantial,  has good weight and is in excellent antique condition.

The mount measures :- 45 cm (17.75 inches) wide x 22 cm (8.75 inches) high x 5 cm (2 inches) deep.

A stunningly unique piece to add an authentic château chic finishing touch and another superb antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
