This is a gorgeous antique French ostrich feather boa dating from about 1890. It is in excellent condition, is very wearable and extemely glamourous.

The feathers are full and plumptious and are a rich chocolate brown. At each end of the boa is a gorgeous frothy tassel of brown silk cords and ribbons in an atmospheric petrol hue.

At the top of each tassel  is a wooden bead over which the silk ribbons are knotted to form a mesh before they cascade down as the tassel.

The total length of the boa including the tassels is approx. 140 cms (4 ft 7 inches).
The tassels are each approx. 25 cms (9.75 inches) long.
