This is a delightful vintage French tapestry wall hanging depicting a medieval vineyard winemaking scene.

In the foreground two ladies sit amongst the millefleur supervising the collection of the juice into the barrels.
The costumes and scenery are stunning and the scene is a feast for the eyes. It is further set off by a flower and grape garland border. The dominant colours are rich shades of blue, ochre and deep pink.
The tapestry is woven in cotton & wool. It is lined on the reverse. There are 5 tabs at the top for hanging on a pole.
The tapestry is in excellent vintage condition and measures :- 117 cm (3 ft 10 inches) wide x 90 cm (2 ft 11.5 inches) high not including the tabs.
A delightful tapestry to add an authentic French finishing touch to a room and another divine vintage French textile find from La Belle Étoffe.
