This is a gorgeous antique French plinth / display stand dating from the 19th Century. It would be superb to display jewellery perhaps in a shop window or on a brocante table.

The stand is circular in shape and is made of wood. It stands on 3 sturdy wooden feet. The top is covered with a sumptuous claret red plush which is held in place around the circumferance of the stand with superb decorative gilded studs - just lovely.

The stand is in good antique condition. If we turn it over we do see that there is some evidence of worm but this has long gone. The plush does have some areas of minor wear (please see photos) but this just gives character to this gorgeous old piece.

It measures :- 30 cm (12 inches) in diameter x 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) high.
