This is a beautiful tall antique French religious bisque statue of The Madonna & Child dating from the 19th Century. It is very decorative and would make a stunning addition to a religious or vintage display.

The statue is made entirely in white bisque porcelain. The Holy Virgin holds the Infant Jesus in her arms. Her mantle and robe fall in beautiful folds around her. Upon her head is a gorgeous crown of flowers. The Infant Jesus holds the Holy Orb in one hand and holds the other aloft.

The statue is in good antique condition. A little sepia patination to the bisque highlights it's contours. There are one or two minor nibbles to the bisque on the statue and it's base (please see photos).

The statue measures :-  38 cm (15 inches) high x 12.5 cm (5 inches) wide x 12.5 cm (5 inches) deep across the base.
